I can barely count on one hand the amount of times I’ve done my makeup since quarantine started. My skin hasn’t been the most co-operative, but that’s because I neglected my skincare routine for a week and didn’t stay hydrated. Self care was out the window.
The products I’m about to share with you are some of my favourites. They’re reliable and make me feel great. In my books… that’s exactly what makeup is supposed to do.
To start off I always wash my face and my beauty blender. Spritz a few drops of a homemade rose water spray, and moisturise with some Vitamin C SPF 30 from The Body Shop.
When it comes to eyebrows, I always use the NYX Brow Pencil in Ash Brown. I then go in with any concealer on hand and prime my eyelids, making sure to set with the RCMA No Colour Powder. A touch of Physicians Formula ‘Butter Bronzer’ to go over my eyes and add a little dimension. And finally, let’s not forget about the star of the show… Too Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara. I swear it makes my eyelashes so full and long to the point they touch my eyebrows. Magical stuff.
Base comes second, and yes you read correctly. Now that we have *that* cleared up, I then go in with the Urban Decay ‘Stay Naked’ foundation. I’m not the biggest fan of full coverage, although I do dabble in mid coverage. UD ‘Stay Naked’ is the perfect medium between BB Cream & a lightweight foundation. It gives your skin the most beautiful glow, and it’s perfect to wear during the summer too as it’s not super heavy. Colourpop concealer, or the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind as fan favourite concealers that do the job. And once I’ve hidden those dark circles, I set with RCMA No Colour Powder.
Physicians Formula ‘Butter Bronzer’ makes a return as a bronzer this time. I then blush up my cheeks with the Zoeva Coral Spectrum palette. And lastly, apply my all time favourite highlighter by E.L.F. The only lip combo to ever exist in my life is the Maybelline Brown Brow Pencil as my lip liner x KIKO lip gloss in the shade 19. An ICONIC duo.
Now you know my favourite go-to makeup products. I use them every time I do my makeup with the occasional eyeshadow swap. You can never have too many eyeshadow palettes!
